Children and IUSSI2010Family life is at the heart of Danish culture, so it is not surprising that Copenhagen is one of the most child and parent-friendly cities in the world. For example, there are areas on buses and trains set aside for prams and pushchairs, and public play areas are dotted throughout the city. Family room and cooperative play group at IUSSI2010We plan to have a family room for children and spouses of participants at the conference center. If there is a need we could also arrange diaper changing and nursing facilities, a lounge area for older kids, and a play area for young children. We are in the planning stage at this point and need an idea of the age and number of children that might take advantage of such a space.
